Titans

Titans are the parents of the Zeus, Poseidon,Haydes, Hestia and many of the other "main" gods. They're pretty much the gods of the gods. they are what came before the gods. They were, I guess you could say gods of everything. And the "leader" of them all was named Cronus who had many children including Haydes, Zeus, Poseidon, Hestia. But when he heard that one of his children was going to rise up against him he swallowed them all, but Rhea the mother of Zeus, Poseidon, and Haydes, gave Cronus a rock instead of Zeus. Which made him throw up all of his children and made them rise up against him. They called this the clash of the titans. the olympians won and the three brothers drew lots for which part of the universe they would have Zeus went first and got the long end of the stick so he ruled the skies and the whole universe. Poseidon went next and got second to Zeus so he ruled the sky and all the creatures in it. Haydes drew poorly and ruled the underworld.
